Girls At Play

Princess dresses and tutus (sometimes multiple dresses and tutus at the same time) tiaras, jewelry, high heals and pretend make-up... it's all in a day's work for Elyse. She loves when other people dress up with her but since the dresses are slightly too small for most of us, we usually just don the jewelry and occasionally drape a dress around our shoulders. She was so excited when I put her Tinker Bell dress on Bryn this week. The dress that hits Elyse above the knees is a floor length gown for little Bryn but it was someone else wearing a princess dress and she couldn't have been happier. Bryn wasn't quite as thrilled with her couture since it made walking a slippery task.

She was a good sport and let me take couple of quick pictures.

We've been playing outside a lot since the weather has been so pleasant. Poor Elyse had to play in the sprinklers wearing only her panties because I haven't found a bathing suit I like enough to spend money on. Not that she minded.

Drying off and relaxing in their little lounge chairs. Bryn really knows how to kick back and lounge.

Bryn's coordination with Legos and stacking blocks (even the smaller ones) has gotten really good and she will sit and play for long periods of time.

Puppy love. It's completely one sided, can you tell?

Elyse really wanted Bryn to go down the slide with her. It was a good idea in theory, but as soon as we put her in Elyse's lap she told us that "Bryn's too heavy!"

 Sliding solo.

It's amazing what the outdoors can do for kids. Complete happiness.

The view of a beautiful sunset from our backyard.
