Aquariums and Ice Castles

One of the things we love about living in Denver is how much there is to do all year round, even when the weather is not good. As a special surprise for the kids, Aunt Nancy treated us all to a day at the Denver Aquarium. It's by far the best aquarium we've been to!

Aunt Nancy and Aunt Maura were captivated by the fish too.

We at lunch in the aquarium dining room in front of a huge tank just like this one. We got to see all kinds of fish and sea life swimming by while we ate and then there was an amazing mermaid show.

We also took a day trip up to Dillon to explore the Ice Castles which consisted of ice caves, tunnels and slides. What a fun experience!

A few tunnels made me feel claustrophobic just looking at them.

This was by far the coolest cave with all of the hanging ice.

Bryan and the girls loved this big slide. It was a little too fast for Jax and Mommy!

Ganging up on Daddy.

Dinosaur down!

We had so much fun and I can't wait to take the kids back next year.
