Elyse's class had a field trip to one of the local public libraries last week. Elyse has been to the library before and knew her way around. I was surprised that the majority of kids flocked to the toys and games and only a few, including Elyse, actually wanted to read and look at books. She was one of only two kids to check books out while we were there. Reading is so important and it made me a little sad to see so many children completely disinterested. I hope Elyse and Bryn always love to read!
