We had a weekend full of fun activities for the 4th of July and it started on Saturday with a pool party at a friend's house. The food was amazing and the pool was nice and warm and comfortable for a long swim.
Bryn with her new "best friend."
Jax was excited to test out the water.
Then he seemed a little bored in his float.
We took the kids to the annual Rotary Club parade down the street on the morning of the 4th of July.
Then we went for a swim in the afternoon.
Elyse and Bryn have been getting more and more brave at the pool this summer. They will both swim where their feet can touch without floaties. Bryn will also jump off the side and Elyse off the diving board without them. Big steps since last summer!
They were so worn out after the pool.
That evening, we went to Nana and Papa's house for a cookout and sparklers.
There is no better entertainment for Jax than his big sisters. Even the littlest things are hysterical!
After the cookout, we got all ready for bed and then Bryan took the girls to watch fireworks while I put Jax to bed. They were so excited to stay up way past their bedtime and they even got to sit in the front seat of the car with daddy to watch the fireworks display. A great end to a fantastic weekend!
