Summer has gotten away from me along with updating the blog. I can't believe the girls will start school in a couple of weeks. Elyse will be in 2nd grade and Bryn will start Kindergarten. It's funny the difference a couple of years can make - Elyse is dreading going back to school and Bryn is so excited. I know Jax will miss his big sisters terribly once the school year starts. It will be strange not having all of the activity around the house and sad for him to not have his constant playmates. We have enjoyed being home together so much this summer!

Elyse went to a friend's birthday party at the Country Club. She must have gone down this slide at least 50 times.

Elyse's best friend, Jena, had her birthday party at an art studio and all of the kids got to paint a picture of a fish. I was very proud of how well Elyse and Bryn did!

Aquanots Swim Lessons
Elyse and Bryn learned so much at their swim lessons this summer! They will both jump off the side or diving board. They don't use goggles or plug their noses anymore and can swim with their heads under water and dive for pool toys. Elyse has even taught herself to do flips in the water.

Some mornings I got lucky and the girls played quietly in their room and let me sleep in a few minutes. One morning I looked on the monitor and saw them doing each others hair. They remind me so much of Lilia and I when we were their age.

I took Bryn and Elyse for their first professional haircut. I've always just done it myself but they wanted to go where Daddy and Jax get theirs done.

A very frizzy and thirsty girl after gymnastics. Bryn has made so much progress this summer. She can now easily do cartwheels and handstands against the wall.

Jax woke up so snuggly and just wanted to lounge around with the girls and lay in Elyse's lap. She was so, so happy!
Uh oh... Elyse went to see a movie with some friends and ended up being the only girl there, not that she minded.
It wouldn't be summer without laying in bed and watching cartoons!
We are so sad to see summer vacation come to and end. I loved every one of these moments!
