Our first baby turned 8! It happened in a flash but Elyse has grown into the most tender hearted, loving, sensitive, smart and silly little girl. She loves to spend time with family and her friends and she really enjoys school (although she loathes homework). Her birthday fell over Spring Break this year but we took cupcakes to her class the Friday before and then we left on Saturday to spend the break in Colorado with family.

As a birthday treat for Elyse and and early birthday treat for Bryn, the girls got to go to the American Girl store in Denver and have their dolls hair styled. They both used birthday money to pick out some adorable outfits and accessories for their dolls. Aunt Nancy bravely went shopping with us.

All of the cousins reunited. It was such a fun and special day for Elyse to get to spend her birthday with everyone.
Elyse chose to eat dinner at Jimmy John's Subs and then got to open her presents.

Elyse's 8th birthday was filled with so much fun and love. She can't wait to celebrate with her friends next week.
