Elyse's 1st Grade Christmas Party

Elyse was in school right up until Christmas Eve this year. Her last day was Friday, the 23rd and she was not happy about having to go to school while everyone else was off of work and Bryn was out of school. Today was a fun day though. I helped out in the class the whole morning with the different craft stations set up in the classroom and then their Christmas party. It's always fun for me to be up at school with the kids.

Her first craft was the Rudolph hat. Then she came to my table to make her fingerprint Christmas lights.

Sweet girl.

After they completed the six craft stations, they had hot chocolate and passed out treats to each other.

They played some really fun relay games. For this game, there were two teams. They kids had to take turns balancing a candy cane with two other candy canes while they raced around the classroom.

Then they had to balance a marshmallow on the end of a spoon in their mouth as they raced the other team. If they dropped the candy cane or marshmallow, they had to run back to the beginning and start over.
